Bucknor returns to international cricket after 11 months

Sydney, Nov 14 (UNI) Controversial Test umpire Steve Bucknor will make a come back to international cricket after being overlooked for 11 months and will stand in the two Tests between Australia and New Zealand beiginning November 20.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the 62-year-old Bucknor would officiate in the two Tests at Brisbane and Adelaide with fellow West Indian Billy Doctrove.

Bucknor was removed from the India-Australia series earlier this year in January after his controversial decisions which went against the visitors were slammed by the Indians.

''Australia plays two home Tests against New Zealand beginning in Brisbane. The series will be refereed by Chris Broad of the Emirates Elite Panel while both matches will be umpired by Steve Bucknor and Billy Doctrove, who are also from the Emirates Elite Panel,'' the ICC said in a statement.
