Butt offering lucrative PCB posts to his close aides

Lahore, June 18 (ANI): As several posts are lying vacant in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) due to officials resigning from their respective posts, the PCB chief Ijaz Butt is reportedly to be placing his favourites in different chairs in the board.

It has been learnt that several lucrative posts such as those of chief selector, media director, marketing director and chief financial officer (CFO) have already been allocated to Butt's people in the board as additional charges.

While Director of the Human Resource Department, Wasim Bari, has been given an additional charge of chief selector following Abdul Qadir's resignation, several posts, including the important one of CFO, are yet to be filled.

Interestingly, Butt has handed over the charge of several important positions to his close relative Mohammad Naeem.

Naeem was appointed as a 'financial adviser' of the board after the chief financial officer (COO) Arif Kitcheloo's resignation five months ago.

Naeem still holds the post despite his tenure ending on March 31, The Dawn reports.

Butt also handed over Naeem 'unofficial charge' of the marketing and media department. (ANI)
