The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has announced the coaching staff for its Senior and Age Group teams for the upcoming 2026-27 domestic season, with four prominent Bengal cricketers taking charge as head coaches.
Laxmi Ratan Shukla will continue as Head Coach of the Senior Men’s team, while Wriddhiman Saha has been named Head Coach of the U-23 Men. Manoj Tiwary will lead the U-19 Men as Head Coach, and Anustup Majumder has been appointed Head Coach of the U-16 Men. Each will be supported by a deputy coach.
The appointments were made following a transparent selection process. An independent screening panel consisting of former international and First-Class cricketers — Arun Lal, Devang Gandhi, and Kalyan Choudhury — conducted comprehensive interviews to shortlist and recommend candidates on merit.
Laxmi Rata Shukla has finally been reappointed after he mentored the Bengal team to a semifinal run last season in the Ranji Trophy. Along with him, the appointments of the other trio mean Bengal men's cricket will be coached across the age groups by four legends of the state, for the first time in recent memory.
