Carlos Alcaraz fan Ravi Shastri posts picture from Paris Olympics 2024: 'The champion is back on clay'

Ravi Shastri, the former India cricketer and coach of India, marked his presence at the Paris Olympics 2024 and attended the tennis events to cheer Carlos Alcaraz at Stade Roland Garros on Saturday, July 27.

Alcaraz, who recently won Wimbledon 2024 by beating Novak Djokovic, defeated Hady Habib 6-3, 6-1 to kick off his men's singles campaign at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 21-year-old Spaniard also won the French Open 2024 earlier this year.

"After the green grass of Wimbledon the Champion @carlosalcaraz is back on the Clay of @rolandgarros where he is also the Champ. This time eyeing an @Olympics gold. The decibel levels in Paris go to another level compared to serenity and calm of @Wimbledon #OlympicGames #Paris2024 #Olympic2024," Ravi Shastri wrote alongside his picture on X.

Ravi Shastri was in London to watch the Wimbledon 2024 men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Shastri had sung praises for the four-time Grand Slam champion after his straight set win over Djokovic.

"Now that the penny has dropped on what you saw at Wimbledon. King Carlos has got a Little bit of Roger, a Little bit of Rafa, a Little bit of Novak, a little of Everything by his side. At 21 years of age. Scary the heights he can go. The Game of Tennis couldn't have asked for anything bigger and better @carlosalcaraz @Wimbledon"

Carlos Alcaraz will be in action in the men's doubles event also later on Saturday. He has teamed up with compatriot Rafael Nadal. The duo would be up against the Argentine pair of Andrés Molteni and Máximo González Mereira.
