The Karnataka Bulldozers maintained their winning momentum in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2025, securing a comfortable seven-wicket victory over their southern rivals, Chennai Rhinos, in Hyderabad on February 14.
Chasing a modest target of 70 runs, Karnataka reached 70/3 in just 6.5 overs, extending their impressive run in the tournament.

Opting to bat first, Chennai Rhinos posted a total of 108/3 in their first innings, with Vikranth (27) and Kalai Arasan (14) contributing crucial runs. Karnataka Bulldozers responded with a commanding 137/4 in 10 overs, thanks to a blazing unbeaten 50 from Darling Krishna and a solid 44 by Karan Aaryan. Aadhav was the pick of the Chennai bowlers, claiming 2/25.
In the second innings, Chennai struggled to post a competitive total, managing just 103/7. Prithvi led the scoring with a quick 30, but the Bulldozers' bowling attack, led by Suneel Rao (2/11), kept the pressure on. Karnataka needed just 70 runs to win, which they chased down with ease.
Karnataka's chase began with a setback as Aadhav struck early, dismissing Ajay Jayaram on the first ball. Captain Kiccha Sudeep promoted himself up the order but could only manage three runs off 10 balls before being dismissed. However, in-form batter Darling Krishna played a responsible knock, scoring an unbeaten 22 off 13 balls, ensuring Karnataka crossed the line comfortably. Rajeev Hanu (17* off 9 balls) provided stability, staying at the crease till the end.
With this win, Karnataka Bulldozers continued their unbeaten streak in CCL 2025. Their all-round performance has positioned them as strong contenders for the title, while Chennai Rhinos will need to regroup quickly for their upcoming fixtures.
