CCL follows a round-robin format, where each team plays each other before moving on to the knockout phases, which includes two semifinals. Also, the Celebrity Cricket League adopted a new tournament format in 2023, bringing a structure similar to Test cricket. This format features four innings, where each team plays two innings of 10 overs each. If Team A wins the toss and elects to bat first, Team B gets the opportunity to chase the target set in the first innings. Following this, Team A bats again, and Team B must then chase the combined total from both of Team A's innings to secure victory.
The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) was established in 2011 to bring together film industry celebrities and cricket on a common platform. Designed as a competitive yet entertaining tournament, CCL quickly gained popularity among both cricket lovers and movie fans. Over the years, it has evolved into a major annual sporting event, attracting widespread attention. Since its inception, CCL has completed ten successful seasons up to 2024
