The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), a tournament organised featuring the Indian Cinema and television stars as well as other celebrity from major film industries, was founded in 2011 and has been held for 10 editions so far.
The film and TV stars as well other people behind the scenes from the entertainment industries across Bollywood, Tollywood, Sandalwood, Kollywood and other regions have been involved in this unique cricket tournament over the years.

CCL, which started as a four-team tournament in 2011, has expanded to either six, seven or eight teams in the editions that followed. The first six edition were contested in T20 format, but since the 2017 edition, the tournament is being held in T10 format.
Season 2, 7 and 8 were competed by six teams, while seasons 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10 saw eight teams battle for the title. The inaugural season was a short one as only four teams competed in the tournament. Season 11 saw only seven teams compete after Kerala Strikers withdrew from the tournament.
While the tournament has been held every year since 2012, the seasons in 2018 (rain), 2020 (COVID pandemic), 2021 and 2022 were cancelled. Also, in 2019, the semifinal and final was not conducted due to rain with the winner and runner up decided based on their group stage performance.
In the 11 editions of the Celebrity Cricket League so far, Telugu Warriors has been the most successful side with 4 titles to it's name followed by Chennai Rhinos and Karnataka Bulldozers, who have won the title two times each.
Mumbai Heroes, Bengal Tigers and Punjab De Sher won the title in 2019, 2024 and 2025 respectively to make it just six teams of the nine that have competed so far to have won the CCL title. Karnataka Bulldozers have entered the finals 7 times so far and have found success twice, finishing runners up five times.
