Sri Lanka Women captain Chamari Athapaththu on Wednesday (April 17) scored unbeaten 195 off 139 balls in Potchefstroom as her side registered the highest successful chase in women's ODI cricket.
Sri Lanka Women chased down a 302-run target in just 44.3 overs. The Asian side lost just four wickets as Nilakshika Silva also chipped in with unbeaten 50 off 71.

South Africa Women captain Laura Wolvaardt scored 184 runs off 147 balls at the top, and stitched a 116-run partnership with her opening partner Lara Goodall. Off-spinner Kavisha Dilhari chipped in with two wickets for 47 runs in 10 overs.
In reply, Chamari Athapaththu's record knock saw Sri Lanka chase the record total in just 44.3 overs. The innings consisted of 26 fours and five sixes. Silva, scored with a strike rate of 70.42, and no other batter from the team crossed the 30-run mark.
Athapaththu's 195 is also the third-highest individual score in women's cricket. Another five runs would have made the 34-year-old only the third women's player to hit an ODI double hundred.
The win helped Sri Lanka Women level the 3-match series 1-1. Sri Lanka Women also won the preceding 3-match series 2-1.
