Champions Trophy 2025 Final Date & Venue: When And Where is Team India Playing The Title Clash?

By MyKhel Staff

Team India sealed the Champions Trophy 2025 final berth following a 4-wicket victory over Australia in the first semi-final on Tuesday (March 4) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

After Mohammed Shami's excellence in the death helped bundle Australia to 264, chase-master Virat Kohli smashed a crucial half-century to take Team India to yet another ICC tournament final, third in three straight years.

Champions Trophy 2025 Final Details

Opting to bat, Australia rode on skipper Steve Smith's 73 off 96 balls and Alex Carey's 61 off 57 balls to set a target of 265 - the highest total at the venue in the ongoing Champions Trophy. For India, Shami was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 48 in his 10 overs.

Spinners Ravindra Jadeja (2 for 40) and Varun Chakravarthy (2 for 49) also chipped in with two wickets a piece, while Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya also claimed a wicket each to put the brakes on Australia going past 300.

In response, India lost Shubman Gill (8 off 11 balls) and Rohit Sharma (28 off 29 balls) early, but Kohli (84 off 98 balls) and Shreyas Iyer (45 off 62 balls) stitched a vital 91-run stand to keep the chase alive.

Meanwhile, handy knocks from Axar (27 off 30 balls), KL Rahul (42* off 34 balls) and Hardik (28 off 24 balls) ensured Team India's win with three balls to spare, and in the process booked their berth in the final.

Now, India will face the winner of the second semifinal between New Zealand and South Africa, in the title clash. The Proteas take on the Black Caps at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday (March 5). But New Zealand and South Africa will need to be ready for travels after the semifinal clash.

Here is a look at the Champions Trophy 2025 final details from the date, venue, timing, tickets details, and why the title clash, featuring India, is being played at that stadium:

When and where is the Champions Trophy 2025 Final being played?

The 2025 Champions Trophy Final is scheduled to take place on Sunday (March 9). The title clash featuring India and New Zealand or South Africa, will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Why is the Champions Trophy 2025 Final being played in Dubai?

As Team India objected to travel to Pakistan, the original hosts of the Champions Trophy 2025, the tournament was changed to a hybrid model with all of the Men in Blue's matches, including the semi-final and final, to be held in Dubai, UAE.

The schedule release stated that the final will be held in Dubai if India qualifies. And Team India became the first team to book the final berth. Hence, the Champions Trophy Final is being staged in Dubai instead of Lahore.
