India's stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set for yet another ICC event appearance when the duo take the field for the Champions Trophy 2025, which gets underway in Karachi on Wednesday (February 19).
While Pakistan take on New Zealand in the curtain-raiser at the National Stadium in Karachi, the Men in Blue will open their campaign in a Group A encounter against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Thursday (February 20).

In a recent video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), India skipper Rohit Sharma was seen recalling all the ICC tournaments he has participated in throughout his illustrious career. Rohit, who captain India to their first ICC trophy since 2013 last year, has so far played in 16 ICC events with the 2025 Champions Trophy set to be his 17th appearance in the tournaments organized by the global cricket body.
The 37-year-old, who made his first ICC event appearance in 2007, has represented India in nine T20 World Cups, three ODI World Cups, two World Test Championship (WTC) finals, and two Champions Trophy tournaments, with the upcoming edition set to be his third.
The former Indian skipper Kohli has so far played in 15 ICC events with the Champions Trophy 2025 set to be his fourth appearance in the eight-team tournament and the 16th overall in the events organized by the global cricket governing body.
The 36-year-old, who made his ICC tournament bow in 2009, has played in six T20 World Cups, four ODI World Cups, three Champions Trophy tournaments and two World Test Championship (WTC) finals.
