Champions Trophy 2025 : How Many Times India vs Pakistan Clashes Possible? Check Scenarios

Champions Trophy 2025: The Champions Trophy returns for the first time since 2017, with the complete schedule for the eight-team event finally unveiled on Tuesday.

The tournament is set to commence on February 19, 2025, featuring the opening clash between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. Both teams are placed in Group A, alongside India and Bangladesh.

Champions Trophy Champions Trophy 2025 IND vs PAK date

As it was announced earlier, India will be playing the tournament in Dubai as part of the Hybrid model and will cross swords with arch-rivals Pakistan on Feb 23rd.

There is no doubt that this particular clash is the 'Mother Of All Clashes' and the fans won't be satisfied with only one IND-PAK clash in the big-ticket event.

So how many times India can face their neighbours in Champions Trophy 2025 apart from the scheduled group fixture on Feb 23rd?

Scenario

India can face Pakistan again in Champions Trophy 2025 only at the summit clash, which will take place on 9th March. If India reach the final, then it will be staged in Dubai and if the Men in Blue fail to qualify, then the final will be in Lahore.

In that case, since both the Asian giants are placed in Group A, the next time they can face each other will be in the final, if both make their way to the last hurdle.

So fans can expect another Indo-Pak summit clash like 2017 Champions Trophy and 2007 T20 World Cup.

The ICC previously confirmed that any matches between India and Pakistan at ICC events during the 2024-2027 rights cycle, hosted by either nation, will take place at a neutral venue suggested by the event organizers.

This arrangement will be implemented for the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 (hosted by Pakistan), the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 (hosted by India), and the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 (co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka).
