A sweet Sunday culminated at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as India secured a comprehensive victory over Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025.

Rohit Sharma and his men secured a victory by 6 wickets, thus completing another win over the arch-rivals. With the victory, India have now won two in two in the group stages and has almost sealed their spot for the semifinals.

Pakistan elected to bat first and posted a total of 241 runs before being bowled out in 49.4 overs. Saud Shakeel led the scoring with 62 runs, while captain Mohammad Rizwan contributed 46. Despite a promising start, Pakistan's innings lost momentum due to tight Indian bowling, with Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav delivering particularly effective spells.

In reply, India captain Rohit Sharma departed early but Virat Kohli turned gladiator and guided India to a fantastic victory. The star batter scored an unbeaten century to take India home in the crucial match. Shreyas Iyer (56 off 67) and Shubman Gill (46 off 52) also played two superb knocks as they reached the target with overs to spare.
