Amid the ongoing saga between India and Pakistan over playing in each other's turf, Pakistan batter Ahmad Shahzad has come up with a bizarre and ludicrous solution.
Both the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have been in a tug of war regarding the upcoming Champions Trophy in 2025, which will be held in Pakistan.

After BCCI's decision of not to travel to the other side of the border, ICC has resolved the issue with a Hybrid Model where India will play their matches in Dubai. The decision also ensures Pakistan's demand to play at a neutral venue during ICC events in India, with Colombo being touted as the possible destination.
As the countries and the respective governments are at odds due to security issues, Ahmad Shahzad has come up with a new solution, which theoretically may solve the turf-related problems.
During the Nadir Ali Podcast, Shahzad said that a stadium can be built in the border, which shall resolve the problems. He mentioned that the gates of one side will be in India and the other shall remain in Pakistan - ensuring a safe passage for players and spectators.
"When I did a podcast, I suggested the idea of building a stadium by the border. One gate would be towards India, the other gate would be towards Pakistan. The players would come from the respective gates and play," Shahzad said.
"But even then there would be issues for the BCCI and their government. When their players come to the field by our side, they would need visas which they would not get," he added.
Although Ahmad Shahzad has come up with his solution, the practicality of his theory has zero value.
A cricket ground at the juncture of the two countries does feel excellent and aesthetic, but the logistical and constructional issues will be massive. It will require border patrolling inside the stadium and it can cause certain issues in the 'No Man's Land' zone between the countries.
Also, India and Pakistan are divided via the Radcliffe Line between Punjab and Gujarat. The border area in Gujarat and Rajasthan are arid as its part of the Kutch region in Gujarat and Thar desert in Rajasthan - making the chances of building a stadium impossible. The sole state where a stadium can be built is Punjab - but that's also practically impossible.
