Champions Trophy 2025: India vs Pakistan Ticket Worth Rs 1 lakh-plus sold out in an hour

By MyKhel Staff

Cricket fans across the world were left scrambling as tickets for the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 sold out within an hour of release.

The high-voltage group-stage encounter, scheduled for February 23 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, witnessed an unprecedented demand, with thousands of eager supporters vying for seats.

Champions Trophy 2025 India vs Pakistan Ticket

This marquee fixture, known for its intense rivalry and electrifying atmosphere, is part of a hybrid tournament arrangement. Initially set to be held entirely in Pakistan, the competition saw a shift in venues after discussions between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), International Cricket Council (ICC), and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Due to India's refusal to travel to Pakistan, all their matches, including a potential semifinal and final, will take place in Dubai.

Cricket lovers from various countries flooded the online ticketing platform, only to find limited options within minutes. Many fans expressed frustration at the swift sell-out, with premium categories like the Dirham 2,000 Platinum and Dirham 5,000 Grand Lounge sections-equivalent to Rs 1 lakh-plus-among the first to be booked. Local fans in Dubai also struggled to secure seats, as the demand far exceeded availability.

"I knew it would be tough, but I didn't expect tickets to disappear this fast. By the time I got in, only a couple of expensive options were left," said Sudhashree, a Dubai-based cricket enthusiast.

The Champions Trophy 2025, featuring eight teams, will be held from February 19 to March 9 across multiple venues in Pakistan and Dubai. Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi will host matches in Pakistan, while Dubai will be the stage for all of India's fixtures. Group A consists of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B features Afghanistan, England, Australia, and South Africa.

The tournament opener on February 19 will see defending champions Pakistan take on New Zealand in Karachi. Pakistan, who clinched their maiden Champions Trophy title in 2017 by defeating India in the final, will look to defend their crown on home soil and in Dubai.

With the India vs Pakistan fixture already at full capacity, fans now turn to secondary markets and official resale options, hoping to witness one of cricket's most thrilling encounters live from the stands.
