Champions Trophy 2025: A little over a month left for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and Mohammed Shami has dropped a big bombshell of his India comeback ahead of the big-ticket event.

The 34-year-old, who is one of India's top bowlers has been actively playing for Bengal in domestic cricket since his return to competitive action in November. Despite demonstrating his fitness and form, he was not selected for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a series India lost 1-3.

Reports are swarming in thick and fast that the pacer will be available for the Champions Trophy, which will mark his return to international cricket after 1.5 years.

On Tuesday, his latest social media post has somehow made things clear of his comeback. He posted a video of his training session with the caption 'Precision, Pace, and Passion, All Set to Take on the World!' with hashtag of Team India.

It is a clear indication that he is very much ready to represent his nation and it's a matter of time that the official confirmation will be made in the coming days.

As per reports, the India's squad for the Champions Trophy as well as the England white-ball series will be announced on 9th or 10th Jan and quite evidently Shami's name will be included.

The right-arm speedster last featured during the ODI World Cup 2023, where Team India lost the summit clash to Australia in front of their home crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

He underwent ankle surgery in February last year and returned to competitive cricket via the Ranji Trophy in November. Although he participated in domestic games, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru did not grant him fitness clearance. Reports suggested that swelling in his knee further delayed his comeback. Prior to the Boxing Day Test against Australia in December, the BCCI officially announced that Shami would not be available for selection for the series' remaining two matches.
