India's triumph in the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 was reflected in the Team of the Tournament, with five of their players making the final XI after their thrilling victory over New Zealand in the final.
New Zealand, the tournament runners-up, saw four of their squad members included, including Player of the Tournament Rachin Ravindra.

Meanwhile, Mitchell Santner was named captain of the select XI. Afghanistan also had two representatives, marking a historic moment after securing their maiden Champions Trophy win in their debut appearance.
Rachin Ravindra, who topped the run charts with 263 runs, was a clear choice for the opening slot. His stellar performances included two centuries, one of which was a crucial 112-run knock against Bangladesh, followed by a game-changing 108 in the semi-final against South Africa. Partnering him at the top was Afghanistan's Ibrahim Zadran, who made history with a stunning 177-run knock against England-the highest individual score in Champions Trophy history.
India's Virat Kohli slotted in at number three, having scored 218 runs at an impressive average of 54.50. His unbeaten century in the group-stage win over Pakistan and a vital 84-run innings against Australia in the semi-final made him an automatic selection.
Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul were India's middle-order representatives. Iyer was the team's highest run-scorer with 243 runs, which included two half-centuries. Rahul, on the other hand, finished with an incredible average of 140, remaining unbeaten in the semi-final and final with scores of 42* and 34*, respectively.
New Zealand's Glenn Phillips secured his spot at number six, impressing both with the bat and in the field. His highlight reel included a one-handed diving catch to dismiss Shubman Gill in the final, alongside another couple of remarkable fielding efforts. He also contributed a half-century against Pakistan and took two key wickets in the semi-final against South Africa, finishing with an unbeaten 49.
Azmatullah Omarzai was Afghanistan's second inclusion. The fast-bowling all-rounder delivered with both bat and ball, claiming seven wickets at an average of 20 while also scoring 126 runs at 42.00.
Mitchell Santner was selected as captain, having been instrumental for New Zealand throughout the tournament. His nine wickets came at crucial moments, particularly in the final, where he removed both Gill and Iyer-his first courtesy of a stunning catch from Phillips.
India's Mohammed Shami made a strong return from injury, securing his place in the XI with nine wickets in the tournament.
New Zealand's Matt Henry, despite missing the final due to a shoulder injury sustained in the semi-final, finished as the tournament's highest wicket-taker with 10 dismissals at an average of 16.70.
Completing the XI was India's Varun Chakravarthy, who impressed with nine wickets in just three matches. His economy was exceptional, never conceding more than 49 runs in any of his outings while consistently bowling his full quota of overs.
India's Axar Patel was named as the 12th man.
