Pakistan remains the only team who are to name the squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

The Asian giants, who are also the hosts of the tournament, hasn't picked the team for the crucial event, which is set to start from February 19.

Pakistan's latest cricket assignment was a multiformat series in South Africa. Mohammad Rizwan's team did well in the limited overs format, where they won the ODI series with a 3-0 scoreline.

Ahead of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan shall rehearse in a tri-nation series along with South Africa and New Zealand. Each team will play the other once, followed by a Final - and all of the matches will take place in Multan.

As the fans anticipate the squad for Champions Trophy, PCB has kept their silence on the team announcement dates. As per reports, the PCB is likely to announce the squad for both tri-nation series and Champions Trophy by next week, within the first three days of February.

PCB's team for both the tri-nation series and Champions Trophy are likely to be same, as the deadline for final squad submission is February 11. Saim Ayub's injury is a huge concern for Pakistan and the southpaw will return to Pakistan early next month, but reports say selectors may not rush the youngster to action.
