The India vs Bangladesh match in the Champions Trophy 2025 has created fresh controversy as the broadcasters have been slammed for not showing Pakistan's name during the match.
As per a report from ESPNCricinfo, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sought clarification from the International Cricket Council (ICC) after Pakistan's name was omitted from the Champions Trophy 2025 branding during the live broadcast of India's match against Bangladesh in Dubai.

While the official logo displayed "Champions Trophy 2025" in the top left corner of the screen, the name of the host nation was missing from the branding throughout the game.
This discrepancy was not present in earlier matches. During the tournament opener between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi, the broadcast graphics clearly displayed both the tournament name and Pakistan's name. The same was observed during Afghanistan's clash with South Africa on Friday.
However, the sudden omission in the India vs Bangladesh game raised concerns within PCB, prompting them to demand an explanation and assurance that such an incident would not recur.
Although ICC has informally attributed the issue to a "technical error," the explanation has not satisfied PCB officials. Given that broadcast graphics are typically prepared well in advance and were correctly displayed in previous matches, PCB remains skeptical about the nature of this so-called glitch.
ICC, however, has firmly responded, reiterating that the issue was unintentional and would not impact future broadcasts, whether in Pakistan or the UAE. With the high-stakes India vs Pakistan clash set to take place in Dubai on Sunday, all eyes will be on whether the official hosts receive due recognition in the tournament's branding.
The two nations have been in loggerheads for months now. Although Pakistan are the hosts, India's reluctance to play in Pakistan for security reasons forced ICC to adopt a hybrid model as India are playing all of their matches in Dubai.
