Champions Trophy 2025: Rachin Ravindra put up a fabulous show under pressure against Bangladesh to bring up his 4th ODI century for New Zealand in the Champions Trophy, Group A match in Rawalpindi on Monday, 24th February.
Ravindra came at a time, when the Kiwis were losing regular wickets and the 2000 edition Champions needed someone to steer the innings till the very end. The 25-year-old responded to the task to guide his nation to a 5-wicket victory.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, New Zealand restricted Bangladesh to 236/9 in 50 overs, courtesy of Michael Bracewell's exceptional bowling performance.
Bangladesh's innings started cautiously, with Tanzid Hasan (24) and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto (77) stabilizing the innings. However, wickets fell at regular intervals as New Zealand's bowlers kept the pressure on. Bracewell was the standout performer, claiming 4/26 in his 10 overs, including the key wickets of Towhid Hridoy (7), Mushfiqur Rahim (2), and Mahmudullah (4). William O'Rourke supported well with 2/48, while Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson took a wicket each. Jaker Ali's resilient 45 and Rishad Hossain's quickfire 26 provided late momentum, but Bangladesh could only post 236/9.
In response, New Zealand had a shaky start, losing Will Young for a duck in the first over. Kane Williamson (5) also departed early, leaving them at 15/2. However, Devon Conway (30) and Rachin Ravindra (112) steadied the chase, with Ravindra's sensational century turning the tide in New Zealand's favor. Tom Latham's composed 55 ensured New Zealand remained in control. Though Latham was run out, Glenn Phillips (21*) and Michael Bracewell (11*) guided the Kiwis home in 46.1 overs.
