Champions Trophy 2025: Rohit Sharma hasn't been in the best of forms in recent times and is yet to pile up big scores in the ongoing Champions Trophy, but he has provided India with aggressive starts by taking on the bowlers.
The 37-year-old India skipper has struggled recent times in the longest format, both at the international and domestic circuit and till the Pakistan match in Dubai so far, he has accumulated 61 runs at an average of 30.50 and a decent strike rate of 119.60.

Against Bangladesh in Dubai, Rohit played a crucial knock of 41, laying a solid foundation for India's successful chase. In the clash against Pakistan, he looked threatening early on but was dismissed for 20 by a pinpoint yorker from Shaheen Shah Afridi.
India will aim to secure the top spot in Group A by getting past New Zealand in the ongoing match. But Rohit once again failed to live up to the expectations as he went out for just 15 against the Kiwis.
myKhel earlier caught up with West Indies legend, Viv Richards during an International Masters League (IML) media interaction and the former batter showed his full support for Rohit Sharma despite his average form in the ongoing competition.
He believes Rohit deserves full backing because he has proven himself in the past, having both succeeded and failed at different times. Richards suggests that the opener might need a competitive edge or a crucial moment to bring out his best. He advises patience, emphasizing that the semi-finals and finals are where Rohit's experience could make a big difference.
''You got to give him all the opportunity. He's been there. He would've done it. He would've then well. He would've failed in the past. I believe that let's wait and see till we get to the semi-finals and hopefully he will get to the finals. Let's see, because sometimes some guys need a little bit of an edge'', the 72-year-old said.
Ultimately, he expresses confidence that the Hitman will bounce back, and when he does, it will be beneficial for both him and the team.
''I still believe Rohit is a magnificent player. Players go through bad times and depends now, how well he comes through this and when he comes through this, certainly it's gonna be all for the better'', he concluded.
