India are currently engaged in a three-match ODI series against England, setting the stage for their upcoming campaign at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai.
With memories of their 2017 final defeat to Pakistan still fresh, Rohit Sharma and his team will be eager to claim the coveted title this time around.

A key factor in India's success will be the form of veteran batter Virat Kohli. Known for delivering on the big stage, his performances could heavily influence the team's journey in the tournament. However, Kohli's participation in the ongoing series took a hit when he was ruled out of the opening game due to a knee injury sustained on the eve of the match.
Following a fitness test by the medical staff, the former captain was deemed unfit to play, paving the way for Yashasvi Jaiswal to make his ODI debut. Despite being in the later stages of his career, Kohli continues to command immense faith from cricketing greats, including former India star Suresh Raina.
Raina, expressing his confidence in Kohli's ability to shine on the big stage, made a bold prediction about the upcoming Champions Trophy. "He has scored runs in the knock-outs of the ICC tournament. We can't forget his innings in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. I think Virat will score three hundreds in the ICC Champions Trophy," he stated.
India are grouped in Group A of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. Due to political tensions preventing travel to Pakistan, all of India's group-stage matches will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
