Lowest Team Score in ICC Champions Trophy: Bangladesh on Thursday (February 20) stared at the possibility of posting the lowest totals in the eight-team tournament during their Champions Trophy 2025 Group A clash against India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Opting to bat first, Bangladesh lost half their side with just 35 runs on the board and came very close to losing their sixth batter also at the same score. However, a dropped catch from Rohit Sharma saw Axar Patel miss out on a hattrick, and the Bangladesh team escape losing another wicket.

Jaker Ali (17* off 24 balls) and Towhid Hridoy (16* off 33 balls) capitalized on the reprieve to help Bangladesh avoid registering the lowest total in Champions Trophy history as their 31-run stand took the team past that unwanted record.
At 66 for 5, Bangladesh are level with USA for the lowest cricket score in ICC Champions Trophy. Team United States registered the low total during their only appearance in the tournament - the 2004 Champions Trophy. USA registered the unwanted record after 65 all out against Australia. Here is a look at the lowest scores in CT:
Bangladesh may avoid posting the lowest ever total in Champions Trophy, but the Asian side could end up with one of their lowest scores in the tournament, having already been bowled out for 77, 93, 129, 131 and 161 so far.
Coming back to the India vs Bangladesh match, Najmul Hossain Shanto's side lost five quick wickets with Mohammed Shami and Axar Patel claiming two wickets each, and Harshit Rana taking the other wicket.
