In a thrilling final, India outclassed New Zealand to claim the prestigious Champions Trophy title adding to their previous triumphs in 2002 (shared with Sri Lanka) and 2013 under MS Dhoni's captaincy.
But the big question is will there be an open bus parade for the Men in Blue just like the 2024 T20 World Cup?

Led by Rohit Sharma, India showcased remarkable dominance throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten across five matches. Their campaign included victories over Bangladesh and Pakistan in the group stage, followed by a semi-final triumph against Australia. Notably, India defeated New Zealand twice in the competition, first in the league stage and then in the final.
This latest achievement comes on the back of India's historic victory in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, where they ended an 11-year ICC title drought. Similar to the Champions Trophy, India remained unbeaten in the T20 World Cup as well, winning all eight matches they played.
Despite the historic win, reports suggest that the team will not have a grand homecoming celebration, unlike the massive open-top bus parade and felicitation ceremony that followed their T20 World Cup triumph. Instead, players will return to their respective hometowns before shifting focus to the upcoming IPL season, which kicks off on March 22 with Kolkata Knight Riders facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru as per a report by TOI.
Even though the tradition of bus parade is specific to the World cups and not the Asia Cup, World Test Championship or Champions Trophy.
Following the Indian Premier League, the Men in Blue's next major international assignment will be a five-match away Test series against England, starting from June 21. With back-to-back ICC trophies in their cabinet, the team will now set its sights on further global dominance across all formats. Only the ICC World Test Championship title is still left to be won.
