On Sunday, all the lies that Pakistan have been peddling came to haunt them like ghosts as they were punched back and blue by King Kohli, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav in the Champions Trophy.
This has become like an annual horror show for Pakistan, a defeat at the hands of India, annually, in white ball cricket.

Since the time the Champions Trophy has been set in motion, the lies and bilge peddled by the Pakistan Cricket Board headed by Mohsin Naqvi plus their cricket team and social media teams has been awful. Nobody minds a side losing a sporting contest. No, Pakistan have believed in creating a false hype, a wrong narrative. What it has done to them is ruined their own cricket. To be hammered repeatedly by India in white ball cricket, black and blue, in ICC events, leaves them so numb. Last year, Pakistan lost in the ICC T20 World Cup to India in New York.
This damn terror State Pakistan cannot even set its house in order and invite India over to play cricket. They have been interested only in increasing terror factories leading to more poverty. For those who study a bit of sociology, those countries which believe in positivity and indulge in nation building do well in sports as well. Pakistan has been ignoring its own cricket. End result, hype, hoopla and horror awaits them each time. As King Kohli crafted his 51st ODI century, an emotional one in many ways, India whacked Pakistan. The alleged hosts are staring at the exit door in the Champions Trophy.
How Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav bowled to throttle the Pakistani batters was a great sight. They realised the Dubai stadium had turned into a veritable cauldron where they (Pakistan) melted. Imagine, Jasprit Bumrah could come and visit the Indian team only as a guest, collect his ICC awards and then sit in the stands and watch the Men in Blue in action. What followed was magic. Mohd Shami, leading the pace attack was injured and looked shaky. But the man who took charge and churned out the medium pace stuff was Hardik Pandya. A team man to the core, he ensured the Pak batters would look like jokers. Add to it the variety of Kuldeep Yadav, whose left arm spin was like a wily old fox, Pakistan spluttered and stuttered.
For all those who believe India versus Pakistan is war, the writing was on the wall. Pakistan had been pushed to it. Their backs were shoved against the wall and to come out and bowl hard at the Indians was near impossible. They did not have the runs on the board, just like Pakistan's state of economy, poverty and penury. None gives them alms any more. The same thing happened in cricket as well with the Indian batters launching an assault in a calculated manner.
Yes, Virat Kohli has tormented different generations of Pakistan bowlers with his sublime batting skills. Yet, it was not just one Kohli who did the damage. The way Rohit Sharma lead and scored brief but effective runs, the straight bat treat from Shubman Gill, highlighted by that tracer bullet straight drive was a sigh to watch and clap. His body balance and timing were so sweet, one could keep watching it. And once Kohli came, he surveyed the field. He had come in, very mindful and realising his life depended on this match.
Kohli has been putting in hours into training. He wanted to ensure his batting reached and peaked into a state of nirvana. And it did, for himself and the team. Kohli out of form became Kohli the maestro, the Lord and Master.
Of course, the way Virat Kohli helped himself to a century, finally, for the Indian triumph, enhanced and uplifted his legend status once more. Kohli has faced intense scrutiny, his credentials had been questioned. And what a way he presented it again, this time like the true Ambassador of Indian cricket., He has attained nirvana. Social media trolls who were lambasting Kohli have gone silent. They are worse than the Pakistani cheap blokes, for they don't know cricket and what it is to have a presiding deity like Virat Kohli still there. Worship him, Virat Kohli!
