BCCI Secretary Jay Shah is expected to meet International Cricket Council (ICC) officials and hold discussions with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in an effort to resolve the ongoing impasse surrounding the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
As per reports from Pakistani media ARY News, the two nations are looking to find a solution to the current conundrum and both personnel may attempt to find a middle ground.

India has firmly stated its unwillingness to travel to Pakistan for the tournament, while the PCB remains resolute in its stance to host the event entirely within its borders, rejecting any proposed hybrid model, something similar to the Asia Cup last year.
The report suggests that Jay Shah will first meet with ICC officials in Dubai to present India's perspective. Following this, he is expected to have a telephonic conversation with Mohsin Naqvi to explore possible solutions to the dispute.
Earlier this week, the PCB appointed Sumair Ahmad Syed as the Chief Operating Officer for the Champions Trophy despite the prevailing uncertainty. It is to be seen how the things build up in the final two months before the start of the Champions Trophy.
The ICC, caught between two major cricketing nations, will likely play a crucial role in mediating the discussions.
In a positive turn of events, Jay Shah and Mohsin Naqvi could arrive at a mutually agreeable solution, allowing the tournament to proceed without compromising the interests of both nations.
Should discussions fail to find common ground, India may leverage its influence in the ICC to ensure the tournament is held under a hybrid model, where matches involving India are played at a neutral venue. While this scenario would be a difficult pill for Pakistan to swallow, it may emerge as the only practical solution to avoid a major disruption.
