Champions Trophy Recap: A Look At 2004 Edition- Winner, Most Runs, Wickets, Player Of The Series

The 2004 ICC Champions Trophy took place in England during September, featuring 12 teams competing across 15 matches over a span of 16 days. The tournament was hosted at three venues: Edgbaston, The Rose Bowl, and The Oval.

Participating teams included the ten full-member Test nations, along with Kenya, which held ODI status. Additionally, the United States made their One Day International debut, having secured qualification by winning the 2004 ICC Six Nations Challenge.

Champions Trophy

Their qualification was decided by net run rate, narrowly edging out Canada, Namibia, and the Netherlands-teams that had all participated in the 2003 Cricket World Cup. The West Indies emerged as the tournament champions, clinching victory in front of a packed crowd at The Oval.
