Chappell effigy burnt for his remarks against Tendulkar
Mumbai, Apr 5 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) activists today protested against outgoing India coach Greg Chappell at Vile Parle north west Mumbai.
The NCP activists burnt an effigy of Chappell to lodge their protest against the Australian for his alleged remarks against the committment of India's cricketing idol Sachin Tendulkar.
Greg Chappell, whose tenure as the Indian coach ended with the team's debacle at the World Cup where India could not even proceed past the first round, had yesterday informed the cricket board that he was not interested in continuing as the India coach for the second term.
