
IPL giants Chennai Super Kings have announced they are going to launch their brand new academy in Tirunelveli, a town in the state of Tamil Nadu.
CSK have taken measures to train and develop next-generation cricketers, and in a bid to that, they are launching the centre at the ICL Sankar Nagar Cricket Ground in Tirunelveli.
After Chennai, Salem, Hosur and Trichy, Super Kings Academy will be coming to Tirunelveli.
The Super Kings Academy at Tirunelveli will be a state-of-the-art facility with 12 pitches (5
turf, 4 matting and 3 Astro Turf) and floodlights. The academy is also well equipped with a
full-size ground of international standards.
The summer camp will get underway from April, 2023. Admissions will be open for boys and girls aged 6 to 23 years.
Talking about the Super Kings Academy in Tirunelveli, Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited
CEO Mr K.S. Viswanathan said "We are excited to establish a centre in Tirunelveli, a city we
have a long association with. Super Kings Academy will bring expert coaching methods and
state-of-the-art infrastructure which will help groom cricketers in the region.

"When we launched Super Kings Academy last year, we promised to nurture talent from
across Tamil Nadu. With centres in Chennai, Salem, Hosur, Trichy and now Tirunelveli, we
are happy to develop the future cricketers across the state." he added.
The academy will begin this summer from April 2023 and operate throughout the year.
