New Delhi, April 21: West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle became father on Thursday as his partner Natasha Berridge gave birth to a baby girl.

Gayle shared the news on social networking site Instagram.

Along with Berridge and his picture, Gayle wrote: 'We would like to welcome the arrival of our beautiful daughter 'Blush' to this world 2 hours ago, Thank God. #GoodHealth&Strength - The greatest gift and feelings anyone would want. Great experience witnesses every bit of it. Have to give my blessings to Tasha, strong woman.'

Star batsman Chris Gayle went back to West Indies to be with his partner Natasha Berridge, who was expecting their first child.

Earlier, Gayle had tweeted a picture of himself on board an aircraft, with the caption, "I'm on my way, Baby".

Gayle missed away game against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium and also the next game against Rising Pune Supergiants in Pune on Friday.
