Five Saurashtra youngsters are in hot waters after being caught with liquors in their kit bag after their CK Nayudu Trophy match against Chandigarh.
Saurashtra demolished Chandigarh in the Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy. However, their triumph has quickly overshadowed by controversy. As they geared up to return home, a customs check by Indigo's cargo division unveiled that five team members were transporting alcoholic substances.

The five players identified are Prasham Rajdev, Samarth Gajjar, Rakshit Mehta, Parshwaraj Rana, and Smitraj Jhalani. The quintet had hidden a total of 27 bottles of liquor and two cases of beer within their cricket kits.
Two of the accused performed excellently on the pitch against Chandigarh. Parshwaraj Rana scored 128 in Saurashtra's 1st innings and Sammar Gajjar picked up 10 wickets in the match, 5 in each innings. But their subsequent action has been a damning one.
The customs officials did not take this discovery lightly and took immediate action. They contacted the Saurashtra Cricket Association, the governing body responsible for the players, to report the incident and the individuals involved.
The Secretary of Saurashtra Cricket Association Himanshu Shah has assured of an investigation of the incident and has confirmed strict actions will be taken against the accused players.
"This alleged incident is unfortunate and intolerable. Ethics and disciplinary committee and the apex council will examine the incident in depth and necessary disciplinary action will be taken," he said.
