In Karnataka's cricket scene, a remarkable 13-year-old talent, Nitish Arya, is making headlines by consistently amassing runs in various Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) tournaments.
With an impressive record of over 1,400 runs in the current 2023-2024 season, Nitish, a fervent Virat Kohli fan, is turning heads with his outstanding performances.

The right-handed opening batsman represents Rajajinagar Cricketers and Max Muller High School (Basaveshwaranagar), showcasing his prowess both at the club and school levels. Nitish, a Class 7 student, began his cricket journey at the tender age of three.
In the KSCA Cup Under-16 tournament, Nitish emerged as the top scorer with an impressive 565 runs, including three centuries and three fifties. This remarkable feat in a U-16 event at the age of 13 is a testament to his exceptional talent. Nitish has also consistently delivered with the bat in Under-14 tournaments conducted by the KSCA.
R Kumar, the secretary of Rajajinagar Cricketers and owner of Karnataka Premier League (KPL) team Shivamogga Lions, commended Nitish's talent, noting his ability to perform against older opponents.

Nitish is not only shining in age-group tournaments but is also making a mark in the 4th Division league of the KSCA, representing Victory Cricket Club. In four matches, he has already contributed with a half-century, showcasing his adaptability and skill.
Vinay Kumar NP, Nitish's coach at Rajajinagar Cricketers, praised his dedication, highlighting that the young cricketer spends six to seven hours daily in training. Nitish's rigorous training regimen includes sessions from 5 AM to 7 AM in the morning and then again from 3 PM to 7 PM in the evening.
Apart from his cricket achievements, Nitish has successfully maintained a balance between academics and sports, scoring between 80 to 90 percent in studies. His educational institution and school coach, Laxmikant, have been crucial supporters of his dual pursuits.
