Rahul Dravid to be demoted to No 5?

Chennai, Dec 16: It is learnt that after the historic win in the Chennai Test against England, Chairman of Indian selectors Krishnamachari Srikkanth had a closed door meeting with Dravid amidst the team celebrations. Sources say that Srikkanth had suggested Dravid to take a break.

The chairman of selectors is even learnt to have offered to Dravid to bat down the order at number five instead of his regular number 3 position and have VVS Laxman bat at number 3. Popularly known as 'The Wall' was offered a central contract on Monday, Dec 15 and more importantly retained in Grade 'A' despite his poor form over the last one year.
