Despite his feats, he reveres Kohli as the best batsman in the modern era. He even admitted that it gives him great pleasure to take Kohli's wicket.

"He's a special batsman, probably the best batsman in the modern era. I think I'm lucky to get him out 5 times. Of course, it will give me great pleasure, taking his wicket," the star Bangladesh all-rounder told the official broadcaster.
Kohli, a master batsman revered and feared by many, expressed his respect for the Bangladesh captain. Citing the example of India's versatile all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, Kohli underlined the impact of all-rounders. India have beaten Bangladesh in the last three ODI World Cups i.e. 2011, 2015, and 2019. The Men In Blue are looking in red-hot form and will be aiming to continue the winning streak against Men in Green and Red. However, they can't afford to take their opponents lightly.
