The battle was highly close among Netherlands, Zimbabwe and Scotland. In fact, each one of them finished with six points each in the Super Sixes but the Dutch team leapfrogged due to a superior Net Run Rate (NRR).

West Indies failed to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in their history, winning just one of their five matches in the 'Super Sixes' round. However, the likes of Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran gave it their all. There were standout performers from other teams as well.

MyKhel has combined a group of 11 players from all the teams to form the 'Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 Team of the Tournament'. Have a look.

Pathum Nissanka (Sri Lanka): The Sri Lanka opener scored 417 runs in eight matches at an average of 69.50 and a strike rate of 87.78. Two hundreds and two fifties came off his bat as he propelled his team to the World Cup 2023. The 25-year-old right-hand batter finished as the leading run-scorer for his team.

Dimuth Karunaratne (Sri Lanka): The Sri Lanka Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne would open alongside his compatriot Nissanka in our 'Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 Team of the Tournament'. The senior southpaw scored 369 runs in seven matches at an average of 61.50 and a strike rate of 88.70. He finished the qualifiers tournament as the third-highest run-scorer.

In the seven matches Williams played. 36-year-old southpaw scored 600 runs in seven matches at an average of 100 and a strike rate of 139.21. Nicholas Pooran (C&WK) (West Indies): A batter of Nicholas Pooran's quality deserved to showcase his talent at the World Cup 2023.
