CSK, with a significant purse at their disposal, will need to focus on acquiring players who can contribute both in the short and long run. Their primary task will be to look for the right replacements for some of the released players and strengthen key positions in the team. Expect intense bidding from the CSK camp in Jeddah.
The heartbeat of CSK remains MS Dhoni, and with his leadership, the team is looking to find a player who can offer similar qualities, especially behind the stumps. Retaining Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Matheesha Pathirana, and Ravindra Jadeja, CSK has a solid foundation, but they need more performers to push for the title.
Ajay Mandal, Ajinkya Rahane, Deepak Chahar, Devon Conway, Maheesh Theekshana, Mitchell Santner, Moeen Ali, Mukesh Choudhary, Nishant Sindhu, Prashant Solanki, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Shaik Rasheed, Simarjeet Singh, Tushar Deshpande, Rachin Ravindra, Shardul Thakur, Daryl Mitchell, Sameer Rizvi, Mustafizur Rahman*, Avanish Rao Aravelly.
CSK has one RTM card available and is likely to use it on Deepak Chahar. The 32-year-old pacer has been with the franchise since 2018 and has consistently delivered. Other potential RTM options include Rachin Ravindra and Shardul Thakur, but it will depend on the bidding dynamics.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has mentioned that the franchise will focus on bringing back some of their released players, such as their Kiwi players and Tushar Deshpande. With a purse of ₹55 crore, they will need to look for cost-effective options to bolster the squad.
