As the IPL season approaches, Chennai Super Kings continue to blend cricket passion with the vibrant culture of Tamil Nadu.
In a fun, light-hearted video posted recently, the team celebrated the undisputed king of Chennai mornings: dosa. The caption boldly declared, "Dosa > anything, perfectly capturing the Yellow Army's pride in local flavours.

The 28-second clip features several CSK players striking playful poses on cricket grounds, each proudly holding or "serving" iconic South Indian breakfast items.
In the video, which asked CSK players about their favourite Chennai breakfast, the majority could be seen saying Dosa as their favourite breakfast.
Though the video leans heavily into dosa supremacy, Chennai's breakfast scene offers variety, and CSK players (past and present) have often shared their love for these classics in interviews, vlogs, and fan interactions over the years.
The crispy, golden favorite that the recent post crowns as unbeatable. Many players highlighted the perfect texture-thin, buttery, and paired with coconut chutney and sambar-as their go-to pre-match or recovery meal.
Ayush Mhatre loves Podi Dosa, while Rahul Chahar loves Ghee Idli along with Podi Masala Dosa. The likes of Urvil Patel, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Prashant Veer love Masala Dosa, and Sarfaraz Khan opted for a healthier Ragi Ghee Dosa. CSK pacer Khaleel Ahmed chose Butter Crispy Dosa with the Masala on side, along with Red Chutney and Coconut Chutney.
The CSK have already started their IPL 2026 pre-season camp in Chennai. The uncapped and capped Indian players have joined the camp, along with veteran MS Dhoni, who continues his legacy at the celebrated franchise. Although the IPL 2026 schedule is yet to announced, CSK are likely to face serial home matches due to assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, which may prompt a two-phase schedule this season.
