IPL 2026: Ahead of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, five-time champions Chennai Super Kings have launched their maiden pre-season event. Dubbed as a 'first of its kind' mega-event, the franchise is hosting a mega fan engagement event called CSK ROAR 2026 at the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, March 22.
The event has been conceptualised as a tribute to Chennai Super Kings' storied legacy, while also serving as a spectacular kickoff to the upcoming season. One of the standout attractions of ROAR 2026 will be the much-anticipated reunion of the "OG Super Kings" - a group of former CSK icons who were instrumental in shaping the franchise's success over the years.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan clarified that the event is primarily a fan engagement initiative and a formal curtain-raiser for the season. "It is just a pre-launch for the season and an exercise in fan engagement. There is nothing more to read into it," he said.
Tickets for the event went live on March 15 and were made available through the CSK app (chennaisuperkings.com), the franchise's official website, and the District platform.
The much-awaited CSK Event will take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
The CSK ROAR 2026 event will likely begin in the early evening between 4 pm to 9 pm.
The highly anticipated CSK Event 2026 will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
The CSK ROAR'26 event will not be televised live on TV.
The CSK ROAR 2026 live streaming will be available on team's official website and app. CSK could also live stream the event on CSK's Official YouTube Channel.
The festivities begin at 4:30 PM with an open training session involving the current Chennai Super Kings squad, giving supporters an early glimpse of the team ahead of IPL 2026. Under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, the players will take part in drills and preparations on the field.
At 5:30 PM, the spotlight shifts to the much-anticipated return of the "OG Super Kings." Captained by Suresh Raina, the iconic lineup includes fan-favourites such as Matthew Hayden, Murali Vijay, Subramaniam Badrinath, and Dwayne Bravo.

These former stars will reunite at Chepauk and face off against the current squad in a series of exhibition contests, adding a nostalgic touch to the evening.
The final segment kicks off at 7:00 PM, transitioning from cricket to entertainment, as global music icon A. R. Rahman headlines a 90-minute live concert, transforming the venue into a vibrant performance stage.
Also featuring in the entertainment lineup is Arjun Das, widely recognised for his roles in films like Kaithi and Master.
