CSK duo causing huge trouble for Tamil Nadu - Check Out!

If you are a Chennai Super Kings fan and also belong from Tamil Nadu, then there is a pickle for you in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match.

Two Chennai Super Kings (CSK) stars are putting up a stellar show against Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy semifinal.

Mumbai are up against Tamil Nadu in the semifinal and two Mumbai boys Shardul Thakur and Tushar Deshpande have caused all sorts of troubles for the Southern state.

First, it was Shardul Thakur and Tushar Deshpande who rattled Tamil Nadu with the ball, as Sai Kishore and co. were just bundled out for 146 runs in the 1st innings. Shardul picked up a couple of wickets while Deshpande struck thrice and was the best bowler for the coveted Mumbai side.

Tamil Nadu started brilliantly with the ball and crumbled the Mumbai batting lineup. A star-studded Mumbai comprised of Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane were reeling at 106 for 7, but it was Shardul Thakur who stood tall again, this time with the willow.

Thakur's onslaught rattled the Tamil Nadu bowlers as the all-rounder scored a fantastic century to steer clear the Ranji giants. Thakur ended up scoring 109 off just 105 balls, hitting 13 fours and 4 sixes in the process. Mumbai have extended their lead beyond 150 runs, which is a hammer blow for Tamil Nadu.

For a CSK fan, this is a bittersweet watch. Both Tushar Deshpande and Shardul Tjalur will wear the CSK jersey within a couple of weeks, and ahead of that, their combined effort may eliminate Tamil Nadu from the Ranji Trophy.

Tushar Deshpande performed decently for CSK last season as well, whereas Shardul Thakur is making a comeback to Chennai after his brief stay with Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. CSK signed the Indian all-rounder for Rs. 4 crore in the IPL 2024 auction.
