Chennai Super Kings host Delhi Capitals in match 55 of the Indian Predcer League (IPL) 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday (May 10), with the game set to start at 7:30 PM IST.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK head into the match on the back of a morale-boosting win over Mumbai Indians in their last outing, while DC led by David Warner are fresh from their fourth win of the campaign. CSK, who has one No Result, has won 6 in 11, whereas DC has won 4 in 10.

The two sides will clash for the first time this season and for the first time since 2019 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which will host it's sixth match of the season. CSK has won three and lost two so far at their fortress - the den in Chepauk.

CSK defeated Lucknow Super Giants in the opener by 12 runs, but suffered a loss to Rajasthan Royals by 3 runs before they bounced back with a victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets.

The hosts, however, were once again pegged back by a 4-wicket defeat to Punjab Kings in a high-scoring match before bouncing back with a huge 6-wicket win over Mumbai Indians.

In the second match, Ravindra Jadeja spell helped restrict Rajasthan Royals to 175, but the hosts fell short of the target by just 3 runs despite a Conway fifty and MS Dhoni's unbeaten cameo of 32 from 17 balls.

In the third match, Jadeja's three-wicket haul helped CSK restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to a paltry 134 before Conway's unbeaten 77 saw the team home with 8 balls to spare. In the fourth match, however, PBKS pulled off a huge run chase over the hosts in a last-ball thriller.

In the most recent match, CSK beat their rivals MI after Matheesha Pathirana helped restrict the record champions to just 139 and Conway scored 44 as the hosts chased down the target with 14 balls to spare.
