CSK vs DC, IPL 2025: MS Dhoni and Sakshi Reaction Go Viral as Mukesh Choudhary drops KL Rahul - Watch

By MyKhel Staff

In the IPL 2025 clash between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium today (April 5), Mukesh Choudhary dropped KL Rahul, and MS Dhoni's reaction has gone viral.

KL Rahul, well set at the crease and anchoring Delhi's innings, top-edged a slog that looked destined to end his stay. But to CSK's horror, pacer Mukesh Choudhary dropped the sitter, giving Rahul a lifeline.

The drop drew immediate and visibly frustrated reactions from CSK legend MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni, who were watching the match together in the stands.

Cameras caught both of them reacting sharply to the moment- Dhoni with a rare display of agitation, and Sakshi shaking her head in disbelief and her hands extended in frustration. The clip of the couple's reaction quickly went viral, sparking a flurry of memes and fan debates online.

KL Rahul, known for making opponents pay after being dropped, made the most of the opportunity. He went on to score a commanding 77 runs off 51 deliveries, smashing six boundaries and three towering sixes. His knock was instrumental in powering Delhi Capitals to a competitive total of 183/6 in their 20 overs.

Rahul began his innings with caution, especially after the early dismissal of Jake Fraser-McGurk. He then built a steady partnership with Abishek Porel, who chipped in with a brisk 33 off 20 balls. As the innings progressed, Rahul began to shift gears, showing brilliant intent against CSK's spinners and taking calculated risks.

He reached his fifty in 33 balls-marking his sixth 50+ score against Chennai-and accelerated from there, launching into CSK's death bowlers with confidence. However, his innings ended in the final over when a fiery bouncer from Matheesha Pathirana forced an edge that carried to MS Dhoni behind the stumps.

The Capitals ended up with a decent score of 183 and CSK are struggling in reply. The hosts have lost early wickets and are currently 65 for 4 in the 10th over.
