Ahmedabad, May 29: Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans clashed for the Indian Premier League title in IPL 2023 Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday (May 29).
Mahendra Singh Dhoni's four-time champions CSK clinched their fifth title, while Hardik Pandya's defending champions GT missed out on back-to-back title triumphs following a 5-wicket loss.

Both teams had also clashed in the first match of the playoffs. Second-placed CSK booked their berth in the final following a victory over table-toppers GT in Qualifier 1, and GT sealed their spot via victory over fourth-placed Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2.
The Titans had pocketed huge money last season as winners of the most coveted T20 title, but what will the winners and runners up take home this season after the final?
Since the inception of the league, the popularity and viewership has grown by leaps and bound, making the tournament more lucrative in terms of prize pool as it's also dubbed the cash-rich league.
The first two editions saw the winning side receive Rs 4.8 crore and the runner-up take home Rs 2.4 crore. Last season, Gujarat Titans was awarded with Rs 20 crore for winning the IPL, while the runner-up, Rajasthan Royals, were awarded Rs 13 crore.
According to a report in Sportstar, the prize pool for teams this season is Rs 46.5 crore with the winner and runner up pocketing the same amount as last year. Plus, the third-placed team and fourth-placed team also pocket a share.

There is also prize money given for individual awards like player of the match, Dream11 game changer, Most Valuable Player, Longest Six, Most Fours and Best Catch after the final.
