The IPL 2023 Final has garnered another feather in the crown of the digital broadcasters JioCinema. With the tournament progressing, the number of real-time viewers watching through live stream has increased by leaps and bounds.

On April 17, 2.4 Cr. viewers came together to watch MS Dhoni's CSK defend against a high-octane run chase from Royal Challengers Bangalore with bated breath at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This record bettered a 2.2 Cr. viewership in a previous CSK match against Rajasthan Royals.

IPL 2023 Final: JioCinema crosses 3.2 crore views

In the final on Monday (May 29), JioCinema has touched the highest concurrent view count of 3.2 crore so far in the match. During the final overs of the 1st inning, the records were tumbled as the viewership record peaked.

This is also the highest recorded peak in digital broadcast in the history of cricket, which surpassed the previous highest of 2.53 crore views during India's World Cup 2019 Semi-Final clash against New Zealand.

CSK captain MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bowl first. GT have piled a huge score north of 200 courtesy of Sai Sudharsan and others. The defending champions have posted 214/4 after 20 overs. Sudharsan scored a stellar 96 of just 47 balls, whereas Wriddhiman Saha also played his part with a fantastic fifty (54 off 39 balls).

The night can only get brighter for JioCinema as a broadcaster as we can expect an enthralling Final. CSK will have to chase a gigantic 215 runs to win the IPL crown for the 5th time in history.
