Shubman Gill has been a prolific player for Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 season. The opener has batted in stellar fashion for GT all season and has already claimed the Orange Cap for the season.
Gill has scored 890 runs in the IPL 2023 season, which is the second-highest ever by a batter in a season. Gill is just behind Virat Kohli in the list as the RCB batter holds the pole position with his 973-run season in 2016.

But Gill has surpassed Kohli in a different record on Monday (May 29) during the Final. The class batter surpassed Kohli to register the most 30+ scores in an IPL season. The 23-year-old now holds the summit position with the record after scoring 39 runs off just 20 balls in the final.
Shubman Gill has scored 30+ runs on 13 occasions this season in 17 matches. The Titans opener has batted at an average of 59.3 and a superb strike rate of around 158. With that, he surpassed Virat Kohli's record of 12 scores over 30 runs which the RCB batter achieved in 2016.
Gill also managed 4 fifties and 3 centuries this season. He scored a fantastic 129 off just 60 balls in the Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians, which is the highest individual score this year.
