Chennai Super Kings are up against Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 22 of IPL 2024 today (Monday, April 8) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

CSK have lost consecutive matches but as they return to their home, the expectations will be sky high. KKR, on the other hand, have won their first three matches and will be looking to get their fourth victory on the trot.

Chennai Super Kings have a decent bowling attack. The pace unit is pretty decent with Deepak Chahal, Tushar Deshpande as Indian bowlers and Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman being their key overseas pacers. Maheesh Theekshana is their primary overseas spinner while Ravindra Jadeja adds the spice.

For KKR, Mitchell Starc is slated as their key pace unit but the Indian bowlers Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora have started in sublime fashion. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy are the key spinners and Suyash Sharma adds to the firepower.

Mustafizur Rahman: Mustafizur Rahman was unavailable in the last match and that clearly shown in Chennai is bowling. The Bangladesh left a paisa has been excellent in this IPL and has currently seven wickets in just three matches. Hence it will be expected that he can showcase his talent against KKR on Monday.

Ravindra Jadeja: Ravindra Jadeja's left-arm spin at the Chennai ground can be a pivotal factor for CSK in this match. With many right-handed batters in the KKR line, Jadeja is expected to play a part.

Mitchell Starc: Mitchell Starc returned to wickets in the last match. The Australian Pacer who was bought at a record price got his first wicket for KKR against Delhi Capitals and bowled pretty well. After his dismal start in this IPL, Starc has found some sort of form and will be hoping to capitalize on that today against Chennai Super Kings. He is going to be key for Kolkata Knight Riders and may provide them with a great start with wickets in the early overs.

Varun Chakravarthy: Varun Chakravarthy has always boasted of a decent return against CSK. He has an excellent record against MS Dhoni and has always shown against CSK in the past so that mystery spinner will be expected to deliver the goods for KKR and can be amongst the Wickets.
