CSK vs KKR Player Ratings: Kolkata Knight Riders mauled Chennai Super Kings in their own backyard and secured a thumping victory by 8 wickets on Friday (April 11).
MS Dhoni led the CSK side at the Chepauk, but their losing streak reached a new low as the hosts suffered a crushing defeat.

CSK were put to bat first and they had a disastrous outing. They managed 103 for 9 at the end of their full quota of overs. Lack of intent, lack of game management were evident sa the CSK batting unit crumbled in front of the KKR pacers. A slow start was never recovered as they slumped into further hole throughout the innings. Shivam Dube and Vijay Shankar were the only batters who made a mark as the others largely disappointed.
The pitch boogey man theories were dismantled soon as KKR chased the target down in just 10.1 overs. Sunil Narine was excellent with the ball, and continued the same vein of form with bat as well. The West Indies legend scored 44 runs of just 18 balls, while de Kock and Ajinkya Rahane also played their part. KKR won the match with 59 balls to spare, which means they have now won consecutive matches in Chennai for the first time in their history (including IPL 2024 final).
Sunil Narine: The KKR veteran dropped a catch early on, but compensated brilliantly. He picked up 3 wickets and gave away just 13 runs, and then dismantled the CSK bowling with his six-hitting prowess.
Harshit Rana: Harshit Rana were also excellent with the ball for KKR. The pacer bowled with conviction and varied the pace brilliantly across his spell. He picked up 2 wickets and conceded only 16 runs in his four overs.
Rachin Ravindra: Rachin Ravindra's see-saw season has taken a dip and the Kiwi batter played a dreadful shot to lose his wicket.
MS Dhoni: CSK captain MS Dhoni made a meal of his batting order. R Ashwin's promotion to himself coming at no. 9, there were errors of judgement from the veteran. The Chennai fans perhaps hoped a revitalization with Dhoni's arrival, but it wasn't the case for them.
