CHE vs LKN Dream11 prediction, IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings are all set to face Lucknow Super Giants in match 5 of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Monday. This will be Chennai's first home game of the season.

The MS Dhoni-led side lost their first game of the season to defending champions Gujarat Titans by a margin of five wickets. CSK injury update Pacer Mukesh Choudhary continued to be out of the team with a back injury. Skipper MS Dhoni is expected to be available for the game despite hurting his knee while keeping against Gujarat Titans. However, coach Stephen Fleming said it was a mere cramp and he will play.

CSK key players Ruturaj Gaikwad fired 92 runs in the last game while the rest of the batting order couldn't pose a big threat. Moeen Ali, however, showed glimpses of his good touch with a knock of 17-ball 23 up the order. Shivam Dube contributed a 18-ball 19 in the closing stages and could play a bigger hand in upcoming games.

Ben Stokes, who scored just seven, will continue as a batter as he recovers from a knee injury.MS Dhoni played a cameo down the order as he smacked the ball hard and is expected to do more of the same.

Among bowlers, Rajvardhan Hangargekar had a splendid debut as he picked 3/36. Deepak Chahar couldn't pick wickets but was economical with a spell of 0/29 and will continue to be the side's weapon with the new ball. Ravindra Jadeja was economical as well with a 1/28 spell while Mitchell Santner went wicketless in a 0/32 spell.

LSG key players Kyle Mayers made his case as an opener in absence of de Kock as the West Indies batter scored a match-winning 73 in the last game. Skipper KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda had an unimpressive outing as they scored 8 and 17 runs respectively. Marcus Stoinis, whose form was in question prior to the IPL, scored just 12.

Another West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran scored a 21-ball 36 down the order while Ayush Badoni played the role of finisher well with a cameo of 7-ball 18. Guyanese all-rounder Romario Shepherd wasn't considered for the last game but could be a good impact substitute option given his form with the Windies team recently.

Among bowlers, Mark Wood will be in the spotlight after his 5/14 spell in the last game. Pacer Avesh Khan and spinner Ravi Bishnoi put in a good spell with two wickets each. Spin all-rounder K Gowtham came in as an impact sub and put in an economical spell of 0/23. Jaydev Unadkat was unimpressive as he proved costly with a spell of 0/39 (3 overs).
