For CSK, Ruturaj Gaikwas wage a lone battle in the last game with a knock of 92 while the likes of Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes couldn't do much with the bat and were away from bowling duties for various reasons. Among their bowlers, youngster Rajvardhan Hangargekar picked 3/36 on debut while Ravindra Jadeja earned a dismissal.

MS Dhoni had a niggle while keeping but is likely to play the next game as the skipper entertained with his batting in the death overs. Mitchell Santner and Deepak Chahar went wicketless but are expected to be influential in the coming days.
