CSK vs MI: 'You don't want your Wallet...' - Ravi Shastri makes Bizarre comparison after MS Dhoni stumps Suryakumar Yadav

By MyKhel Staff

MS Dhoni pulled off a stunning stumping in the IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (March 23).

Dhoni showcased his amazing glove work even at the age of 43 as his lightning-quick act behind the stump sent Suryakumar Yadav packing.

The defining moment came when Suryakumar, batting confidently, faced Noor Ahmad. He ventured out of his crease, misreading the delivery, and Dhoni seized the opportunity. In a flash, Dhoni dislodged the bails, sending Suryakumar back to the pavilion. This dismissal left MI struggling at 87/4.

MS Dhoni took only 0.12 seconds to dislodge the timbers - an unbelievable skill to even fathom from the former India captain. Surya just had a stride forward and Dhoni had no mercy.

Suryakumar Yadav, who is acting as the MI captain in the absence of Hardik Pandya, scored 29 runs off 26 deliveries. MI lost early wickets as Rohit Sharma and others failed cheaply. Rohit didn't trouble the scorers while Ryan Rickelton (13 off 7) and Will Jacks (11 off 7) also departed cheaply.

The commentators were also in awe of Dhoni's amazing work and lauded the India legend. Ravi Shastri, who also worked as India coach with Dhoni, jokingly said that one wouldn't want his wallet out of his back pocket with MS Dhoni lurking behind. It was made in a light-hearted manner but the comparison of pickpocketing with wallet and cricket was nothing short of a bizarre one.

"In a crowded place, you don't want your wallet halfway out of your back pocket, and MS behind," Ravi Shastri said while commentating the CSK vs MI match.

Harsha Bhogle, another commentator in the match, said that Dhoni told him that he doesn't use gloves in between IPL seasons and when Harsha asked about keeping practice, Dhoni said 'Utna ho jata Hain'.

Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad was amazing as the left-arm spinner picked up three wickets in just two overs. After Surya's wicket, he managed two more as Robin Minz and Tilak Varma also succumbed to his web of spin.
