CSK vs RCB IPL 2024: MS Dhoni was seen back in his yesteryears self in the IPL 2024 match opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday (March 22).

Chennai Super Kings have locked horns against RCB in the first match of the season at the Chepauk and Dhoni was seen in an old avatar.

CSK announced the handover of captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad. After a successful campaign last term, Dhoni announced he will be playing another season at least and it looks like the former India captain is set to enjoy his twilight years without the extra pressure of captaincy.

As Dhoni took the field on Friday, fans were amazed to see a new look of Dhoni, brandishing his long hair on the day. Dhoni broke into the scene with his long hairs, which became a trend among youths back in the early days.

And the former CSK captain donned the Yellow jersey of Chennai Super Kings with his vintage long-hair look, which garnered a lot of love and nostalgia among the fans.

Former England international and IPL expert Kevin Pietersen reckons Dhoni will end his career with long hairs, just the way he started it.

In the match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had early trouble after losing three quick wickets, but Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik have batted superbly to take RCB to 170 at the end of their full quota of overs.
