Virat Kohli has put on another feather in his crown jewel as the India stalwart registered another milestone in the CSK vs RCB IPL 2025 match on Friday (March 28).
As the Southern Derby takes place at the Chepauk Stadium, Kohli has now emerged as a unique record holder.

Virat Kohli has surpassed former India batter Shikhar Dhawan to become the highest scorer against CSK in the IPL history. Kohli was just 5 runs behind Dhawan, who amassed 1057 runs against the Super Kings during his IPL days.
Kohli started the match with 1052 runs against Chennai in his IPL career with an average of 38. He has scored 9 fifties against them so far, hitting 77 fours and 42 sixes in the process. In the ongoing match, the India stalwart continues to bat on 14 runs.
Kohli played a sublime knock against Kolkata Knight Riders in the last match as he remained unbeaten with 59 runs in just 36 balls and helped RCB to a dominating victory.
In the CSK vs RCB match, the Bengaluru outfit was asked to bat as CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss. Phil Salt gave RCB a magnificent start but MS Dhoni did his magic behind the stumps to dismiss the England player. Devdutt Padikkal also did a good job before getting out for 27 runs.
